He is supposed to protect a free ranging flock and pick out choice morsels for his girls. He keeps a look out for birds of prey and brings everyone home at night.

My Roo is borderline on coming after me too hard, so it depends on how bad he is compared to the good he does.Chai Chaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05845100961653150736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-279838830512754397.post-19025430238338217942011-03-23T09:36:42.331-10:002011-03-23T09:36:42.331-10:00Deb, he is an araucana rooster. When he scratched a forehead, he was dinner.

Rae, I am sure it would be easy to find a roo replacement. I got him in a batch of pullets, so he wasn't supposed to be there anyway!

Renee, the consensus seems to agree with you :).NancyDehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09565369052850975336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-279838830512754397.post-87623875831673347092011-03-23T04:57:04.374-10:002011-03-23T04:57:04.374-10:00If I had an aggressive rooster, he'd be my nex...If I had an aggressive rooster, he'd be my next meal :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-279838830512754397.post-20103520736338782472011-03-23T04:19:25.943-10:002011-03-23T04:19:25.943-10:00If it was my bird, I'd vote eat. Perhaps you can find a way to acquire a nicer rooster down the road. I've seen them on places like craigslist before, where they have a nice roo but can't handle the crowing.Raehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02769150016495656772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-279838830512754397.post-82534073882166581032011-03-23T02:42:55.854-10:002011-03-23T02:42:55.854-10:00Hi there.

He scratched me from JUST under my left eyelid, across my cheek and down next to my ear. This attack came after one or two "warm up" attacks. It might be easier just to buy some chicks and not have to worry about your personal safety!
LisaLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15158639120336067776noreply@blogger.com
