All the fruit we eat all winter is from hundreds of miles away. It different in the summer of course but here in New England the winters are brutal. I don't think I have ever seen spic...How cool! I don't think I have ever seen spice trees at our local nurseries/farms - I am not even sure that I knew that black pepper grows on a vine or that there is a curry tree.
