LAMBS!

They are here!  I just missed it.  Dodie was expelling the placenta and they were all wet and tumbling around.  Everyone seems healthy, dry, and both have nursed some.

Anyone want to take a stab at  names?

Yay! Finally! How cool right before the New Year.

At least it will be quiet - we don't have anyone near popping fireworks.

I was wrong - there were plenty of fireworks around here - I was shocked. Must be a new family in the area, we've never had so many before. The animals were all riled up - except Dodie and the lambs. They were snug and quiet - except when I went out and shined flashlights at them. The lambs then thought it was time to get up and play! I am sure that Dodie was wondering why I was waking up her babies to play in the middle of the night. I sure would have been grumpy as a new mom if someone had done that.

How wonderful! Do they have tails that need to be docked? Coconut?

They do have tails, but since their hair sheep, they don't need their tails docked. Since these lambs are all black, apparently a Hawaiian feral sheep got into the gene pool somewhere, but the Blackbelly Barbados isn't supposed to have their tails docked. Thank goodness- that would be hard for me!

The ram lamb has a white feather shaped marking on his head, and the ewe lamb is more like a cap, but she is so into everything - inspecting every corner....They are both up and jumping around, so very cute.

Aw, they look like they are wearing little white caps. Did you name them yet? Something to do with hats, maybe?

Chapeau and Bonnet?
